What manga and light novels does Seven Seas Entertainment publish?
With over 500 releases under their belt, Seven Seas Entertainment has become one of the biggest independent manga and light novel publishers. And there’s something for everyone on their roster.
Fans will instantly recognize big name titles such as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation — the manga, light novel, and Roxy Gets Serious spin-off series available now — as well as Made In Abyss which has a second season coming for anime fans this summer.
Sci-fi titles, cozy slice-of-life series, and whimsical romance tales like Darling in the Franxx, A Centaur’s Life, and The Ancient Magus’ Bride, respectively, are just a few examples of the sheer variety in Seven Seas Entertainment’s growing roster of manga and light novels.
Along with new hits, Seven Sea Entertainment publishes classics too. Go Nagai’s Devilman and Monkey Punch’s Lupin III grace the collection. And The Legend of Dororo and Hyakkimaru — a reboot of Osamu Tezuka’s 1960s Dororo manga — is currently in publication with Volume 5 releasing on September 27th.
Seven Seas Entertainment’s roster isn’t restricted to manga and light novels either. Many manhwa and webtoons series including psychological horror series Killing Stalking and Witch Buster — a shounen series that has magic users at odds with witch hunters — have also become part of their catalog.
How can I get my favorite manga published in English?
Often, language stands as a barrier between fans and compelling manga and light novel titles. Luckily, Seven Seas has a survey on their website where fans can request new works to be licensed. It should go without saying that the process of licensing and translating can’t be done at the click of a button. But with enough fans requesting their favorite titles, they’ll be one step closer to a bookstore near you!
Those who fill out the survey won’t go unrewarded. Between now and May 7th, fans can get a coupon code for 30% off their Bookwalker purchase on Seven Seas Entertainment titles. Act fast to get a discount on your favorite manga and light novels!
And with the coupon, consider pre-ordering manga or light novels from your favorite manga creators. While it’s no guarantee that other releases by that author will be licensed, good sales speak for themselves. It’s a great way to ensure that creators and publishers alike are incentivized to make more content.
Those strapped for cash needn’t be left out either. By contacting your local library and requesting Seven Seas Entertainment media, you just may be able to rent your favorite manga and light novels for yourself and others to enjoy! Check out Overdrive to find eBooks available from your local library as well.
