Viz Media will add the Helck manga to its lineup in Spring 2023. Unfortunately, there’s no word on if it’ll come as an omnibus or single volumes.

But the fans are blowing up Viz’s Twitter account over the news!

What about the anime?

We’ve received no new updates regarding the anime, and according to MyAnimeList.net and Helck’s official wiki, there’s no sign of the anime premiering anytime soon. Of course, there’s still time for Helck to appear in Winter 2022 or anywhere in 2023, but at least fans can look forward to the manga.

Especially since this will be the first time, Helck is being translated for English readers in a physical format. Fans have been singing Helck’s praises across the internet for years, and their love is being rewarded.

Will Helck become a smash hit in the anime scene? We’ll have to wait and see!

Is there anything else coming out that has to do with Helck?

If you can read Japanese, you have much to look forward to. Chapters are available during the Ura Sunday event for free.

The first volume came out on April 12, 2022, and a new book will release every month until March 2023. If you’ve already read Helck, consider giving the spin-off Piwi: Fushigi na Ikimono a read.

There’s only one volume, and it was published in Japan on November 12, 2018. Or you can read Volundio: Divergent Sword Saga, a prequel to Helck with three volumes as of February 2022.

There’s no word on when Volundio: Divergent Sword Saga will receive a translated physical edition, but Comikey has the English licensing rights! Will we learn why Helck wants to destroy the human race in the prequel?

Nanaki Nanao has another seires Acaria. A young archer girl Arcaria is trying to recover her memories, so she sets off on an adventure.

Helck is one of the more exciting series I’ve heard about this year. The Demon King is defeated, yet there will be a tournament to determine his successor, and a human is a favorite to win.

But why? I read the first four chapters, and it reminds me of Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter. Helck seems like a nice guy, but he makes it clear he doesn’t like humans.

And the first major secret we learn about him is genuinely shocking.
