The second season of The Vampire Dies in No Time anime series will premiere in January 2023.
A brand new PV trailer and a key visual have been revealed alongside the announcement.
The first season aired from October 4 to December 20, 2021, on Tokyo MX, BS11, tvk, KBS Kyoto, and SUN. Funimation licensed the series at the time.
The first season’s finale, The Vampire Dies in No Time Episode 12, was released on December 20, 2021. The second season was announced by the official website and Twitter account when the first season’s finale aired.
The 12 episodes were released as three volumes in The Vampires Dies in No Time Blu-Ray box set.
The Vampire Dies in No Time Season 2: what we know so far
The exact date of the Season 2 of The Vampire Dies in No Time anime series hasn’t been disclosed yet, so stay tuned for updates.
The first key visual shows a rather merry cast led by Draluc, Ronaldo, John, and Hinaichi in the typical satirical art style the series is widely known for.
The main cast will be reprising their roles, as follows:
- Makoto Furukawa — Ronaldo
- Jun Fukuyama — Draluc
- Mutsumi — Tamura John
An additional cast member has been revealed, namely, Ayumu Murase, who will voice a new character named Mikazuki.
An exhibition to commemorate The Vampire Dies in No Time S2 will be held during the Animate Girls Festival 2022 (November 5th and 6th).
The S2 is being produced by Studio Madhouse (No Game No Life) and directed by Hiroshi Koujina (Hunter x Hunter). Additional cast members are yet to be confirmed/announced.
About The Vampire Dies in No Time manga series
The Vampire Dies in No Time (吸血鬼すぐ死ぬ, Kyūketsuki Sugu Shinu) anime is based on the eponymous manga series by Itaru Bonnoki. The series has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion since 2015.
As of today, the individual chapters have been collected into 21 tankōbon volumes.
The plotline follows the renowned vampire hunter Ronaldo, who is charged with putting an end to the invincible vampire lord Draluc who supposedly kidnapped a boy. Upon meeting Draluc, however, Ronaldo discovers that he is a skilled trickster who is all but invincible. The ‘kidnapped’ boy turns out to be a pest who sneaks into Draluc’s castle to play video games.
The Vampire Dies in No Time is hilarious no matter how you look at it, so look forward to Season 2!
