It’s an exciting time for Slam Dunk fans as a new THE FIRST SLAM DUNK PV Trailer, cast reveals, and the opening/ending themes songs were revealed! In addition, a special program on the Toei Animation YouTube channel has also been released.
The program is a little over an hour long and is full of information. THE FIRST SLAM DUNK is scheduled to premiere in Japan on December 3, 2022.
Sadly, there’s no word yet on when fans can expect to see it overseas. But with less than a month to go for Japan.
It shouldn’t be long before we hear if the film will go straight to streaming or be available in theaters worldwide.

I can’t recommend it enough, as far-away shots take on a stunningly realistic look. Even if you aren’t a basketball fan, don’t miss out on seeing THE FIRST SLAM DUNK.
Who are they?
They say you should always start strong, and Subaru Kimura is a perfect example. Not only has he been in numerous anime, animations, OVAs, live-action series, and live-action movies.
But several of them will sound familiar to sports fans. Papa Mbaye Siki of Kuroko’s Basketball in 2012.
Satori Tendo of Haikyu!! Karasuno High School vs. Shiratorizawa Academy in 2016. Yusuke Okuma of 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team in 2021.
J. J. Dorgias of The Prince of Tennis 2: U-17 World Cup in 2022, and much more! Shugo Nakamura has only been in one sports anime.
Gin Gagamaru of Blue Lock in 2022. But he’s been in several anime and video games, and his first role was a Knight in Magi: Adventure of Sinbad in 2016.
He’ll also be playing Chatannakiri in Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamatu ~ Setsugetsuka~ movie in 2022. Kenta Miyake is a legend in voice acting.
Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, All Might in My Hero Academia, Muhammad Avdol in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, and way too many to list here. Jun Kasama was in Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train, Gantz: 0, Lost Judgement, and Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles.
