- My Hero Academia Season 6
Let’s take a look at the October 2 line-up!
October 2 is the apocalypse day: The Poputepipikku (Pop Team Epic) Season 2 will make its grand debut! What’s more, it will be the first TV anime ever to be broadcast on terrestrial TV and via TikTok LIVE simultaneously. Amazon Prime Video will also be streaming the episodes in Japan: the latest episode will be added every Saturday at 25:30, starting from October 1.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) is the next title to premiere on October 2… kind of. The title already made its debut during San Diego Comic-Con on July 1 and the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -LINK THE UNIVERSE- event on July 14, 2022. Namco Filmworks is producing the anime. The OP theme song is “Shukufuku” (“Blessing”) by YOASOBI.
Berserk: Ougon Jidai-hen – Memorial Edition (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc — Memorial Edition) is one of the most-anticipated titles in a while. Berserk will debut on TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11 (October 1) and Animax (October 16, 2022). The series will also stream on Netflix, ABEMA, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and other streaming services. The ED theme song is “Wish,” by Mika Nakashima.
Studio 4°C is producing the sequel (the same studio was in charge of the original Berserk anime series).
Beast Tamer (Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyou Shuzoku Nekomimi Shojo to Deau) is another exciting title that will debut on October 2. Crunchyroll will stream the series, which is being produced by EMT Squared. The OP theme song is “Change the World” by MADKID, while the ED theme song is “LOVE&MOON” by Marika Kouno.
This is another TV anime inspired by a light novel series. The Beast Tamer light novels are written by Suzu Miyama and illustrated by Subachi and follow Rein Shroud, a beast tamer intending to take down the Demon King. Unfortunately, Rein gets kicked out of his hero party, and so his new life of adventures begins.
IDOLiSH7: Third Beat! Part 2 will debut on October 2. Directed by TROYCA, the second cour of the TV anime will feature the OP theme song “WONDER LiGHT” by the titular idol group. IDOLiSH7 is based on the eponymous rhythm game developed and published by Bandai Namco Online, with music collaboration by Lantis.
The Blu-ray and DVD of Idolish 7 Third Beat! Part 2 will be released as Volume 5 on November 25, 2022.
Crunchyroll has licensed the anime for North America.
So many titles and this is just the second day of the Fall 2022 anime season!
