The Eminence in Shadow is getting the anime treatment and the release date is confirmed for October 2022.

At first glance, this series appears identical to many isekai that came before it. But the plot gives me hope, and any anime coming in the spooky month has my interest.

Cid didn’t want to be the protagonist or the final boss. He wants to be a minor character that bides his time to reveal he’s a mastermind! Or pretend to be one while training on a mountain and hoping to gain magic.

Cid meets Truck-Kun and wakes up reincarnated as the son of a noble family. The good news is that Cid now has magic on top of his noble status. The bad news is that Cid is the main protagonist, and his power will change the world.
