Hazano Kazutake’s hit manga series, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence, is getting an anime! Unfortunately, there’s no word on when we’ll enjoy the anime or who the cast is, but we have some details.
Sumie Noro is directing the anime at Doga Kobo, Yuka Yamada is in charge of the composition, and Hiromi Nakagawa is designing the characters. The manga debuted in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine R in April 2017.

What is Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence?
Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence is a romantic comedy with fantasy thrown in. The story takes place on the small outskirts of a peaceful town.
Lawrence is the local pastor and guides people to the church so they can visit the saint. The saint’s role is to listen to people’s concerns and offer them good advice.
Cecilia fulfills her role with grace and dignity… right until there’s no one around except Pastor Lawrence. Even though Cecilia wants to help Lawrence, his over-protective nature prevents him from letting her try anything.

Who is Hazano Kazutake?
The manga of Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence is being written and drawn by Hazano Kazutake, but she’s no stranger to manga or light novels. Kazutake has done the art for Ubau Mono Ubawareru Mono light novel and manga, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken, “Hello Work Guild” e Youkoso!, Sekai Saikyo wa Kazoku to Nakayoku Dekasegichuu!, and Tensei Tokuten de Commuryoku ni Zenfuri Shita Watashi Saikyou de Kawaii!
Fans should also be looking for Fairytail-like You Goes On The Assult, another manga by Kazutake. It’s a comedy, romance, and slice-of-life about Kagari, an ephemeral beauty who reunites with her childhood friend Nana-kun and begins a romantic assault on him!
