The latest Overlord IV trailer PV has revealed that the Overlord 4 release date is on July 5, 2022. The show will air on AT-X, TOKYO MX, MBS, TV Aichi, and BS11. The new season was first announced in May 2021 during the Overlord commemorative special program broadcast on the streaming platform Niconico.
The new trailer previews the Overlord Season 4 OP and ED theme songs. The opening theme song “HOLLOW HUNGER” is performed by the duo OxT (Masayoshi Oishi and Tom-H@ck). The Ending theme song “No Man’s Dawn” is performed by Mayu Maeshima. She was the lead vocalist of MYTH & ROID from 2015 to 2017.

Overlord Season 4 cast and staff
The lead cast and staff are returning for Overlord 4 from the previous anime installments. The returning cast members include:
- Satoshi Hino (Rengoku in Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Ains Ooal Gown
- Yumi Hara (Lilith in Trinity Seven) as Albedo
- Sumire Uesaka (Hayase in Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro) as Shalltear Bloodfallen
- Emiri Kato (Mayoi in the Monogatari series) as Aura Bella Fiora
- Yumi Uchiyama (Rudeus in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as Mare Bello Fiore
- Masayuki Katou (Danzou in Naruto: Shippuuden) as Demiurge
- Kenta Miyake (All Might in Boku no Hero Academia) as Cocytus
Naoyuki Itou (No Guns Life) is directing the anime at Madhouse. Yukie Sugawara is in charge of the series scripts. Satoshi Tasaki is designing the characters, with music from Shuji Katayama (Team-MAX).
More about the series
Overlord is a light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. The novel was first serialized in 2010 via the novel publishing website Arcadia. In 2012 the series was acquired by Enterbrain, and since then, Enterbrain has published 14 volumes of the series. Yen Press has licensed the series for English publication in North America.

A manga adaptation of Overlord written by Satoshi Oshio and illustrated by Hugin Miyama is under serialization in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine since 2014. Yen Press has licensed the manga too for English publication in North America.
The Overlord anime consists of three seasons of 13 episodes each, with Overlord Season 4 set to premiere on July 5, 2022. An anime film under the subtitle Sei Oukoku-hen (Holy Kingdom Arc) was also announced with the season 4 announcement.
