NITRO PLUS’ and Good Smile Company’s Warau Ars Notoria smartphone RPG is getting a TV anime adaptation!
Titled Smile of the Arsnotoria Sun! (Warau Arsnotria Sun!), the series will premiere on July 6 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV.
An official TV anime trailer PV has been released. It features an original Warau Ars Notoria TV anime character, with details to be provided in June.
Smile of the Arsnotoria Sun! is produced by Liden Films (Berserk) and directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa, with Midori Gotō in charge of the script and Takahiro Kishida — of character design.

The main voice actors from the Warau Ars Notoria game will reprise their roles in the TV anime, as follows:

- Abramerin: Eriko Matsui
The anime will be backed up by a manga by Masaki Hattori (Genshin Impact Comic Anthology), which will be serialized in Monthly Dragon Age (月刊ドラゴンエイジ, Gekkan Doragon Eiji) starting June 9. The manga will be based on the upcoming Warau Ars Notoria TV anime rather than by the game.
In addition, a novel adaptation of the TV anime has also been announced. It will be published in Famitsū Bunko (Bunko (ファミ通文庫), a Kadokawa’s light novel publishing imprint affiliated with Enterbrain.

Warau Ars Notoria is a smartphone RPG that was launched in Japan on March 4, 2021. A collaboration between NITRO PLUS and Good Smile Company and Nitroplus, the game is a NITRO PLUS’ 20th-anniversary project. Ōtsuka Shinichiro (Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World) is the game’s main character designer.
The Warau Ars Notoria RPG sees the PC become a teacher at a secret academy unknown to regular people. The academy is attended by girls known as “Pentagrams” (ペンタグラム) who are taught how to become “proper ladies.” Or so it would seem at first.
As time goes by, the PC is about to learn there are men known as the “Knights” in the addition to “Pentagrams” and a battle is about to commence.
