Haruki Kuou’s Liar Liar light novel series is getting a TV anime adaptation for 2023. The exact Liar Liar anime release date is yet to be announced.
The anime adaptation was first announced back on April Fools Day in 2021, along with a special promo. No new information regarding the anime was released for the last one and a half years, and now finally, a new special teaser was released, revealing the main cast and staff. A new teaser visual was also released, which you can find below.

To celebrate the anime adaptation of Liar Liar, a total of 16 illustrators will release congratulatory illustrations for one week in a row. Here are the two illustrations that were released today:

The main cast of the anime includes:
- Genta Nakamura (Louis Feed in Management of a Novice Alchemist) as Hiroto Shinohara
- Yukina Shuto (Shizuku Hyoudou in Idoly Pride) as Shirayuki Himeji
- Wakana Kuramochi (Lilia Kudelfate in Vermeil in Gold) as Sarasa Saionji
Satoru Ono and Naoki Matsuura are directing the Liar Liar anime at studio GEEKTOYS. Momoko Toyoda is in charge of the series scripts. Yumi Nakamura is designing the characters. Kuniyuki Takahashi and Keiichi Hirokawa from MONACA are composing the music.

More about Liar Liar
Liar Liar is an upcoming anime based on the light novel series of the same name written by Haruki Kuo and illustrated by konomi.
Media Factory publishes the light novels under their MF Bunko J imprint. Eleven volumes have been published to date, and Volume 12 is set to release on November 25, 2022.
The series also received a manga adaptation with art by Funa Yukina. It has been serialized in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine since August 2019. It has been collected in two tankobon volumes.
The story of Liar Liar takes place at Academy Island, a school island where students compete against each other through games to determine their ranks. Hiroto Shinohara transfers to the school and beats the previous highest-ranking student gaining the ranking of Seven Stars. But it was all a lie!
Now Hiroto needs to keep up with his bluff and stay at the top using any means necessary.
