The first trailer PV for the Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- anime was released, revealing an October 2022 premiere during the Fall 2022 anime season.
The anime was first announced back in June 2021 as the MANA series 30th anniversary animation project, and a teaser PV was released in April 2022, revealing the main cast and staff of the anime.
The trailer PV reveals and previews the OP theme song, “Tear of Will,” by Saori Hayami, composed and arranged by Kevin Penkin. It also reveals the additional cast of characters.
The additional cast announced includes:
- Saori Hayami, best known for playing Yukino in Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, as Serafina
- Yuko Sanpei, best known for playing Boruto in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, as Bud
- Shino Shimoji, best known for playing Maha in The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, as Corona
- Sachi Kokuryu, best known for playing Bakugou in My Hero Academia, as Duelle
- Yurika Kubo, best known for playing Kaede in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, as Li’l Cactus

The previously announced cast includes:
- Nobunaga Shimazaki, best known for playing Shinichi in Parasyte: The Maxim, as Shiloh
- Yuichiro Umehara, best known for playing Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer, as Ruri
- Kaori Nazuka, best known for playing Eureka in Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven, as Princess Pearl
Masato Jinbo (Restaurant to Another World) is directing the anime at Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab. He is also in charge of the series scripts. Taro Ikegami is designing the characters based on the original designs by HACCAN. Yoko Shimomura is composing the music.
