Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- release date in Fall 2022 confirmed, supporting cast revealed

A TV commercial has confirmed that the Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- release date in Japan is on October 7, 2022. The show will air on the “Super Animeism” frame on 28 MBS/TBS nationwide networks in Japan.

The anime was first announced back in June 2021 as the MANA series 30th-anniversary animation project, and a teaser PV was released in April 2022, revealing the main cast and staff of the anime. In June 2022, the first trailer PV for the Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal- anime was released, revealing the OP theme song.

It is also revealed that the OP theme song, “Tear of Will,” by Saori Hayami, composed and arranged by Kevin Penkin, will release on October 7, 2022.

The supporting cast revealed by the anime includes:

  • Hiroshi Yanaka, best known for playing Naraku in InuYasha, as Rev. Nouvelle
  • Chitose Morinaga, best known for playing Karen in Shomin Sample, as Sproutling
  • Minami Takahashi, best known for playing Megumi in Shokugeki no Souma, as Rachel
  • Shinpachi Tsuji, best known for playing Makarov in Fairy Tail, as Inspector Boyd
  • Wataru Takagi, best known for playing Onizuka in Great Teacher Onizuka, as Niccolo
  • Misaki Kuno, best known for playing Hawk in Nanatsu no Taizai, as Miss Yuka
  • Makoto Yasumura, best known for playing Miroku inYashahime: Princess Half-Demon, as Mark

  • Saori Hayami, best known for playing Yukino in Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, as Serafina
  • Yuko Sanpei, best known for playing Boruto in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, as Bud
  • Shino Shimoji, best known for playing Maha in The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, as Corona
  • Sachi Kokuryu, best known for playing Bakugou in My Hero Academia, as Duelle
  • Yurika Kubo, best known for playing Kaede in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, as Li’l Cactus

Masato Jinbo (Restaurant to Another World) is directing the anime at Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab. He is also in charge of the series scripts. Taro Ikegami is designing the characters based on the original designs by HACCAN. Yoko Shimomura is composing the music.
