Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life anime release date is January 7, 2023 in the Winter 2023 anime season. The anime will air on Tokyo MX and other channels in Japan.
The anime was first announced back in July 2022, revealing the Winter 2023 premiere. In July 2022, the main staff was revealed, and in October 2022, the main anime cast was revealed.
Now the first full trailer and a key visual (see below) for Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life has been released to corroborate the January 7, 2023 premiere announcement.
The trailer PV depicts the daily life of Dariel and Marika. It also previews the ED theme song of Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life — “Daer Doze Days” by Akari Kitou. The single will release on February 8, 2023, in three editions:
- Regular Edition: ¥1,300 (tax included)
- Anime Edition: ¥1,300 (tax included)
- First Press Limited Edition: ¥1,980 (tax included)
The opening theme song for the anime was also revealed. The OP theme song of Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life is — “CHANGEMAKER” by Hinano. The single will release on January 25, 2023, in two editions:

Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life (The Slow Second Life of the Retired Dark Soldier in His 30s) is an upcoming anime based on the light novel series of the same name written by Rokujuyon Okazawa and illustrated by Sage Joh.
The novel series was first serialized online via the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. It was later acquired by Kodansha, and they have published three volumes of the series under their Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint to date.
The series also received a manga adaptation by Rurekuchie. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Young Magazine but was later moved to Monthly Young Magazine. Seven tankobon volumes have been published to date.
