HIDIVE announces Kaiji anime English dub release date in November 2022

Finally, 15 years after the original anime premiered on Japanese television, the English dub of Kaiji anime is just around the corner.

The Kaiji anime English dub release date is November 28, 2022, in the Fall 2022 anime season. You can watch the first 9 dub episodes of Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor on HIDIVE on the premiere date itself. This will take you straight through the first major arc of the anime.

Along with the English premiere announcement, HIDIVE also revealed the English cast and crew for the dub.

More about Kaiji

Kaiji anime is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine has been publishing the manga since February 1996. Kodansha has published 85 tankobon volumes to date.

The series received a TV anime adaptation of the first part of the manga titled — Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor or Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor. It aired for 26 episodes from October 2007 to April 2008.

The anime received a sequel based on the second part of the manga titled — Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen or Kaiji: Against All Rules. The sequel aired for 26 episodes from April to September 2011.

Kaiji was also adapted into a live-action film trilogy. Kaiji premiered in October 2009; Kaiji 2 premiered in November 2011, and Kaiji: Final Game premiered in January 2020.

The story of Kaiji follows Kaiji Ito, a debt-ridden degenerate gambler, and his struggle to survive in this world of gambling.
