Eternal Boys, the upcoming “mature idol project” TV anime, has revealed several visuals of Episode 1, titled “Reemployment” (unofficial translation).
Eikyuu Shounen Episode 1 introduces one of the 6 main characters, Kentaro Sanada (image on top), whose company goes bankrupt. Mr. Sanada decides to apply for a new job with Manpuku Talent Production.
Not suspecting anything unusual, poor Kentaro sets off to a training session, only to discover that he is expected to perform on stage as a member of Eternal Boys, a mature idol project. His reaction is priceless, too:
Eternal Boys comprises six middle-aged men, each one with a unique background and societal grudge.
The TV anime will premiere on Fuji TV on October 11, 2022, Animax on October 15, 2022, and BS Fuji on October 18, 2022. Eternal Boys will stream early via Fuji TV on Demand on September 26, 2022.
The Eternal Boys anime cast and staff
The Eternal Boys (永久少年, Eikyū Shōnen) TV anime was announced in March 2022.
The main cast and staff were announced on August 17, alongside the first trailer PV.
migmi is directing the series at Liden Films, with Kimiko Ueno and Seiko Asai handling series composition and character design, respectively. ma2 is serving as the original character designer, while Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music.
Manpuku Geinō Production is providing the original concept, with King Records dealing with the theme song composition.

The Eternal Boys manga & spin-off novel
A manga adaptation based on the Eternal Boys anime’s concept premiered in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Gene magazine on April 15, 2022.
