January 10, 2023, held a wonderful surprise for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans. We got a new trailer for the 4th DLC and a teaser image confirming the 5th!
But that’s not all. We catch a glimpse of Prince Vegeta as a child! He’s wearing his cape, and his armor has the symbol of the royal family!
We even hear him speak, even though it doesn’t sound like his usual voice actor. You can hear Vegeta trying to stay positive and pump himself up as he’s bowing to Freiza.
The end of Planet Vegeta!
Although most of the story revolves around Bardock, King Vegeta challenges Freiza first. Freiza kills him in one punch and kills the men who accompany King Vegeta.
Both of these fathers lost their lives to Freiza. But watching the new trailer for the DLC reminded me of another mystery.
Why did Freiza want to take Prince Vegeta? In the trailer, he says he will rid the universe of the Saiyan race.
We know why Freiza destroyed Planet Vegeta after having most of the Saiyans return home. But that doesn’t explain why he took Prince Vegeta.
If you’re going to kill an entire species, why bring some onto your ship before destroying the planet? Was it a power play against the king?
If you look it up on YouTube or watch the anime, you can see that King Vegeta doesn’t want to hand his son over to Freiza. But Freiza waits until Prince Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz are on his ship.
And then King Vegeta attempts to kill Freiza, which spurs him into destroying the planet. But, of course, Freiza always intended to destroy the Saiyan race.
Neither King Vegeta nor Bardock was responsible for the genocide.
How soon is soon?
Bardock: Alone Against Fate is coming on January 13, 2023. We saw a leak about the 5th DLC earlier this month.
So how long do we have to wait for the release date? And will the 5th focus on the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai or include more sagas from Dragon Ball?

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is doing a great job of giving us what we want. But what’s going to happen next?
Official advertising shows a spot for a 6th DLC in the Second Season Pass. And we don’t meet Goku as an adult until the end of Dragon Ball.
And there are several Sagas to choose from in Dragon Ball. For example, Muscle Tower would fit in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
