The Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO movie US release date has been confirmed by Crunchyroll for August 19, 2022, the middle of the Summer 2022 anime season.
The DBS: SUPER HERO movie will be coming to movie theaters across the world in all continents, including North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

This is the first truly globally-distributed theatrical release for Crunchyroll and is distributed in North America by Crunchyroll. Internationally, the film will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
How to buy Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO tickets for movie theaters
The DBS: Super Hero movie will arrive in more than 2300 theaters in the United States and Canada with tickets on sale from the official website starting July 22, 2022. The film will also be released in select US-based IMAX theaters.
Just like the DBS: Broly movie, there will be a Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero English dub in addition to a movie theater premiere with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

The Japanese voice actors for the film include Masako Nozawa (Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Son Goten), Toshio Furukawa (Piccolo), Aya Hisakawa (Bulma), Ryō Horikawa (Vegeta), Mayumi Tanaka (Krillin), Takeshi Kusao (Trunks), Yūko Minaguchi (Videl), Yūko Minaguchi (Pan), Miyu Irino (Dr. Hedo), Hiroshi Kamiya (Gamma 1), Mamoru Miyano (Gamma 2), Volcano Ota (Magenta), and Ryota Takeuchi (Carmine).
Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO story summary
Original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has directly created the film’s original story, screenplay, and character designs.
Here is the official story summary from Crunchyroll:
“The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves ‘Super Heroes’. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!”
Some of the trailers have revealed Gohan’s Final Form in addition to teasing a Red Cell. Others show Piccolo being a dad to the Saiyan family.
