Additional cast and the OP/ED theme song music details of Bibliophile Princess anime have been announced ahead of its October 2022 broadcast.
The announcement for the anime adaptation was made in January 2022. And a trailer PV was released in May 2022, revealing the main cast and the Bibliophile Princess release date in October 2022.
Yuka Iguchi will perform the OP theme song, “Prologue.” Kashitaro Ito will perform the ED theme song “Kawabyoshi” (Leather Binding). Both the singles will hit the markets on November 2, 2022, with a price of ¥ 1,320 (tax included).
The new additional Bibliophile Princess cast members include:
- Koki Uchiyama (Meruem in Hunter x Hunter) as Alexey Strasser, the son of a duke who serves as Prince Christopher’s close aide
- Yuma Uchida (Kyou Souma in Fruits Basket) as Glen Eisenach, the platoon leader of the imperial guard who protects Prince Christopher
- Wataru Hatano (Gajeel Redfox in Fairy Tail) as Theodore Warren Ashlard, the younger brother of the current king of Sauslind
- Gen Sato (Kou Yamori in Call of the Night) as Alan Ferrera, a court musician who works for Prince Christopher
Bibliophile Princess cast and staff
The previously announced main cast includes Reina Ueda, best known for playing Kanao Tsuyuri in Kimetsu no Yaiba, as Lady Elianna. And Ryohei Kimura, best known for playing Koutarou Bokuto in Haikyuu!!, as Prince Christopher.
Tarou Iwasaki, best known for directing Sweetness & Lightning, is directing the anime at Studio Madhouse. Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) is in charge of series composition, with Mizuka Takahashi designing the characters based on the original designs of Satsuki Shiina and Yui Kikuta.
More about Bibliophile Princess
Bibliophile Princess or Mushikaburi-hime anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina. The novel was first serialized online from September 2015 to January 2022 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro.
The series was later acquired by Ichijinsha in 2016, and it has since released six volumes. In August 2018, the series was adapted into a manga with art by Yui Kikuta. The manga was serialized in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine.
