The official Bibliophile Princess anime website has revealed the Blu-ray/DVD details before its October 6, 2022 premiere.
The anime will air on October 6, 2022, on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS NTV. d anime store will stream the anime on the same day, and various other platforms like ABEMA, Disney Plus, Hulu, etc. will stream the anime on October 13, 2022.
The anime is set to have 12 episodes and it will be released in three Blu-ray/DVD volumes. The release schedule is as follows:
- Volume 1: The first volume will be released on January 25, 2023. It will contain episodes 1 to 4 of the anime. The volume is priced at ¥ 14,300 for the Blu-ray and ¥ 12,100 for the DVD.
- Volume 2: The second volume will be released on February 22, 2023. It will contain episodes 5 to 8 of the anime. The volume is priced at ¥ 14,300 for the Blu-ray and ¥ 12,100 for the DVD.
- Volume 3: The third volume will be released on March 24, 2023. It will contain episodes 9 to 12 of the anime. The volume is priced at ¥ 14,300 for the Blu-ray and ¥ 12,100 for the DVD.
Commemoration Tea party
To commemorate the broadcast of Bibliophile Princess anime, a special program — “Tea party just before the broadcast of TV anime ‘Mushikaburihime’ ♡” will be held on October 1, 2022, at 22:00 (JST).
Reina Ueda, Ryohei Kimura, Kouki Uchiyama, Yuma Uchida, and Wataru Hatano will appear at the event and talk about the anime.

More about Bibliophile Princess
Bibliophile Princess or Mushikaburi-hime anime is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina. The novel was first serialized online from September 2015 to January 2022 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro.
The series was later acquired by Ichijinsha in 2016, and it has since released six volumes. In August 2018, the series was adapted into a manga with art by Yui Kikuta. The manga was serialized in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine.
