Beast Tamer PV trailer 2, key visual reveal Yūsha Pātī o Tsuihou Sareta Bīsuto Teimā release date in October 2022

The upcoming Beast Tamer TV anime adaptation of the eponymous light novel series has been confirmed for a premiere on October 2, 2022.

A brand new key visual and a second trailer have been revealed, providing additional information about the cast and a couple of other points of interest besides.

For starters, take a look at the trailer:

The trailer reveals the ending song, “LOVE&MOON” performed by Marika Kouno. The OP song is “Change the World” by MADKID.

Two additional cast members, voicing Sora and Luna have also been announced (see below for the full cast list).

The Beast Tamer anime: What we know so far

The Beast Tamer anime is produced by EMT Squared (Assassins Pride).

The staff is, as follows:

  • Atsushi Nigorikawa — director
  • Takashi Aoshima (No Game, No Life) — series composition
  • Shuhei Yamamoto — character designer
  • Arisa Okehazama, Yuki Hayashi, Naoyuki Chikatani — music copmposers

The cast members announced so far include:

  • Azumi Waki — Kanade
  • Minami Tanaka — Sora
  • Maria Sashide — Luna
  • Rumi Ōkubo — Tania

The anime was first announced for a Fall 2022 premiere earlier in June.

Crunchyroll will stream the series.

About the Beast Tamer franchise

The Beast Tamer (勇者パーティーを追放されたビーストテイマー、最強種の猫耳少女と出会う, Yūsha Pātī o Tsuihou Sareta Bīsuto Teimā, Saikyō Shuzoku Nekomimi Shōjo to Deau) light novel series is written by Suzu Miyama and illustrated by Subachi.

It has been published online via the Shōsetsuka ni Narō user-generated novel publishing website since June 2018. In 2019, the series was licensed by Kodansha, whereby the publisher has released eight volumes since May 2019 under its Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint.

The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation. Illustrated by Moto Shigemura, the Beast Tamer manga series has been serialized via Square Enix’s Manga UP! website since January 2019. As of July 2022, the individual chapters have been collected into 8 tankōbon volumes.

The plot follows Rein Shroud, a beast tamer intending to take down the Demon King. Unfortunately, Rein gets kicked out of his hero party, so he decides to become an adventurer.

Soon thereafter, he meets a girl named Kanade of the Cat Spirit Tribe, one of the strongest known species. The two decide to join forces, attracting the attention of both the people who exiled Rein and other species.
