Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for ONI: Thunder God’s Tale (ONI: 神々山のオナリ), an upcoming CG animated series from Tonko House. Created by Daisuke “Dice” Tsutsumi — who also serves as the executive producer — and directed by Mari Okada, the “quirky” and “heartfelt” four-episode series (per Netflix’s description) will be released at a later, undisclosed date.
Three decades after the six-episode OVA series inspired by BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- (1992-1993) aired, the manga classic comes back to life in an ONA adaptation by Liden Films. Directed by Takaharu Ozaki, with character design by Sayaka Ono, music by Team-MAX’s Yasuharu Takanashi, and script by Yōsuke Kuroda, the ONA is set to premiere on Netflix on June 30, 2022.
Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the license acquisition of the manhua (Chinese comics) series Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (MXTX) and Luo Di Cheng Qiu. The manhua is a full-color adaptation of the namesake light novel.

The Collectors Blu-ray edition of the Cardcaptor Sakura anime (1998) has been postponed to July 4, according to publisher Anime Limited. The reason given for the delay is that bringing the anime to Blu-ray has been a “complex and time-intensive task.”
