Excited to see the new One Piece: Stampede animated film? The 14th film in the franchise was a big hit in Japan by making over five billion yen in the box office. The English release is set to hit North American theaters very soon.
How soon? This Fall in fact! From Funimation Films, this movie will mark the 20th anniversary of the franchise. At the moment, the official release dates have not yet been announced but we’re pretty sure it’ll be soon.
When One Piece: Stampede hits theaters in North America, it will be presented in both Japanese with English subtitles and English dubbed.

In One Piece: Stampede, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are invited to a massive festival in which we’ll see a number of iconic characters from the past. Along with old friends and foes, they will be facing off against a new enemy known as Bullet, who is a former member of Gol D. Roger’s crew.

The original manga series is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda and serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since 1997. The series follows the pirate adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, who has gained the ability to become a rubber man after eating a Devil Fruit.
Forming the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy and his crew sail the seas in search of the world’s ultimate treasure, known as the One Piece, and become the Pirate King. The English release of the manga is licensed by VIZ Media.
The anime series is produced by Production I.G. and Toei Animation which began airing in Japan in 1999. It was first licensed in English with 4Kids Entertainment in 2004 and was then later picked up by Funimation in 2007.
The series can currently be streamed on Crunchyroll and FunimationNOW.
