The Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 release date is officially happening in 2019 but it’s going to be a longer wait than expected. A new key visual for the My Hero Academia anime was released and it clearly shows that My Hero Academia Season 4 is scheduled to come out in October during the Fall 2019 anime season. The exact premiere date was not listed, nor were the number of episodes announced.

The TV time slot in April 2019 that would normally be used by Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 will be occupied by a new anime called Mix that’s based on a manga series. Written by Mitsuru Adachi, the Mix manga is a baseball shonen series that tells the tale of two stepbrothers who learn of the sports heritage of their respective fathers. Their high school has not won a championship in 30 years and they hope to change all that.

While some anime fans may be disappointed that the My Hero Academia Season 4 release date will be delayed, some experts believe the move could be a good thing for MHA Season 4. For example, Yonkou Productions points out that “October helps a lot with spreading the Shueisha properties across the year.” What’s more, the story arcs covered by Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 will be exceedingly action heavy so the delay will give more time for the production team at Studio Bones to produce quality animation.

Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 will open with the story arc involving Overhaul, a Yakuza leader of an organization called the Eight Precepts of Death. The villains are fighting for control now that All For One is out of the picture and Overhaul and the League Of Villains don’t exactly see eye to eye.

Izuku desires to intern with All Might’s former sidekick Sir Nighteye at the advice of Gran Torino, but All Might is against the idea. It also turns out Mirio aka Lemillion was already being trained by Sir Nighteye.

The action will culminate in a heroic invasion of the villain headquarters but not all things are as they seem. Overhaul’s group has also developed a secret super weapon that could prove devastating to Deku and his friends.

Unfortunately, anime fans will have to wait until the Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 release date to find out more. Please see our full-length article for more details!
