It’s crazy to think it’s all over, but My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 13: Final Performance brought on the end of the Paranormal Liberation War. However, the heroes aren’t in the clear yet as My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 14 shows viewers the devastating aftermath of such an epic battle.

Ultimately, the villains escaped, leaving trauma and destruction in their wake. Hero morale is sure to be at an all-time low, and it will be interesting to see how these characters deal with the consequences of their actions.

My Hero Academia S6 Episode 14 synopsis and review

The episode opens with Midoriya’s voice telling viewers that he didn’t fully grasp what had happened during the war until much later when he read the Hero Public Safety Commission reports. He realizes that before the war ever started, Re-Destro had attempted to infiltrate the Commission during a joint venture to make products. However, when Re-Destro showed up to meet the Commission, it was a trap to attempt to take him out, but he ended up killing the Commission President instead.

From here, Midoriya continues to give us the highlights of the war, detailing what happened and where exactly things went wrong. The first half of the episode is essentially a recap of the first half of the season.

However, things get interesting when Midoriya reveals that many of the hero’s left the children’s involvement out of their official reports. He says that even if they aren’t mentioned, he still remembers what happened and how Shigaraki looked as if he wanted to be saved.

While quite a bit was written about the war, the details pertaining to Shigaraki were merely facts. Garaki Kyudai, chairman of the Jaku hospital board, was noted to have committed multiple crimes. Gigantomachia was captured. Mr. Compress was captured, and several Nomu bodies were taken to be autopsied.

A few fights continue on in the aftermath, with Edgeshot subduing Re-Destro before he can keep fighting and Cementoss battling Geten. In the end, both villains are captured along with 16,929 other Paranormal Liberation Front members. Still, over 130 members and leaders from the organization remain on the run.

As Midoriya finishes with the report’s details, viewers get a look at the aftermath of the war. Entire blocks of rubble line the streets while injured civilians cry out for help. The heroes are trying to help, with students like Ochacco and Tsu saving children from falling debris. The number of people who need help seems almost endless, as we see everyone on hand doing their best to help those in need. Still, some heroes can’t help but look at the destruction and find their situation hopeless.

In the forest, several UA students crouch over Midnight’s body in tears, but it appears the hero did not survive the war, along with several others. At the same time, it seems civilians are getting news and details of the war, causing them to question their faith in heroes like Endeavor and Hawks.

The episode ends with All for One and Shigaraki declaring that this is not the end.
