The KanColle: Someday in that Sea (KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de) release date is on November 3, 2022, the Fall 2022 anime season.
Since KanColle Season 2 will premiere on TOKYO MX at 24:30 JST, that is effectively November 4, 2022.
Mere hours ahead of the anime series debut, a brand-new key visual hyping the occasion emerged. Once again, the key visual previews various WW2 warships depicted as moe girls.
Take a look:
KanColle Season 2 was originally announced during AnimeJapan 2022.
The title is an abbreviation of “Kantai Collection” — the name of the web browser game that inspired the anime adaptation.
A key visual was revealed in early September and was followed by another one shortly thereafter.

About the KanColle Game
As already mentioned, Kantai Collection depicts World War II warships as cute girls. The game features numerous historical ships, Admiral Shouji Nishimura’s fleet included.
Fans have been speculating that KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi is likely to reference Sho-Go (“Operation Victory”), inferred from the characters revealed via various promotional materials and also from the year 1944 in which Season 2 is set.
KanColle Season 2 features some of the ships that were part of the real-life Southern Force, the very one that battled the U.S. Navy in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
With just a couple of hours left until the KanColle S2 premiere, we’re about to find out whether the speculations were spot-on!
