The Buddy Daddies anime release date is confirmed for January 2023, the Winter 2023 anime season.
On October 22, 2022, @BuddyD_project posted three tweets about the latest anime-original from P. A. WORKS. Unfortunately, we don’t have the exact release date, but we know when it’s coming, we have a trailer, voice actors, staff, and a fully developed website!
Fans of Spy x Family and The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting will feel at home with the plot. But will Buddy Daddies be able to distinguish itself from them to satisfy fans?
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long, but will it be available for streaming?
What is Buddy Daddies?
Buddy Daddies is an anime original produced by P. A. WORKS. There’s no word on how many episodes it’ll be or if it’ll only be a single cour, but the plot sounds good and familiar.
Two assassins, Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, are roommates and work together, but they couldn’t be any more different. Kazuki is 28, loves gambling and women, and takes care of his personal belongings.
He’s good at cooking and cleaning and scolds Rei for his lifestyle. Kazuki focuses on contracting, gathering information, and making plans for work.
He has good communication skills, but it’s unclear whether Rei always listens to him. Rei is 25, has never been in love, and doesn’t speak much.
His physical abilities are top-notch in martial arts and marksmanship, but he doesn’t care about his living conditions. Rei likes to play video games at home, and he was raised to be his parents since childhood.
Rei’s family is enormous in the underworld. So, could he be next in line to take over his family? Miri Unasaka is the four-year-old daughter of a Mafia Boss and his mistress.
According to her character description on Buddy Daddies website, she’s an innocent child without fear. But when she went to a hotel to search for her father, she was involved in a shootout!
Did Kazuki and Rei have something to do with it, and how did Miri join them? Are they trying to protect her or use her against her father?
The staff bringing Buddy Daddies to life!
