The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer manga series
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer (惑星のさみだれ, Hoshi no Samidare) is based on the eponymous manga series by Satoshi Mizukami.
Known in Japan as “Samidare of the Stars,” the manga was serialized in Shōnen Gahōsha’s Young King OURs magazine, which targets seinen audiences, from 2005 to 2010. The individual chapters have been collected into ten tankōbon volumes.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series in 2013 and published all 10 volumes in English as 2-in-1 omnibus editions.
The plot is rather generic (which doesn’t mean that the TV anime is bad) and follows college student Yuuhi Amamiya who wakes up one day only to find a lizard on his bed.
The lizard, named Noi Crezant, reveals that Yuuhi has been chosen to save the world. Certain hectic events follow this incredulous revelation and Yuuhi soon discovers that his next-door neighbor Samidare Asahina is a princess.
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer targets seinen demographics and is labeled fantasy comedy and adventure.
