The Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra release date is on October 9, the Fall 2022 anime season.
This is Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time Season 2, which received two brand new trailer PV versions on September 28, 2022, mere 10 days ahead of its Japanese debut.
Both trailer versions are age-restricted (if you’ve seen Peter Grill Season 1, you’ll know why) and available on YouTube exclusively.

Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra: What we know so far
Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra (ピーター・グリルと賢者の時間, Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan) hasn’t received many updates leading up to the Fall 2022 anime season, compared to other Fall 2022 anime titles, presumably because there are multiple highly-anticipated anime series/sequels coming up.
These include, but are not limited to SPY x FAMILY Part 2, Golden Kamuy Season 4, and Mob Psycho 100 III, to name a few.
Peter Grill is an ecchi title, meaning that it has a limited audience and can’t hope to rival the anime mentioned above.
More’s the pity, because the series appeals to the quick-witted and is not just your average ecchi title.
The Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan: Super Extra returning staff members include Tatsumi (director) and Nora Mouri (series composer). Wolfsbane is animating Season 2 (the studio also produced S1) jointly with Animation Studio Seven (co-producer).
The new staff members include:

- Phoenix Q-Tarou — sub-character designer
- Kazuto Horikawa — photography director
- Kenichi Kurata (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) — art director

HIDIVE streaming Peter Grill Season 2
HIDIVE will stream Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan: Super Extra, with the exact date and time yet to be specified. The streaming service hasn’t revealed whether it will air uncensored episodes, either, so stay tuned for further announcements.
For reference, Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time Season 1 (2020) had three versions, each with a varied amount of censorship.
The TV anime is based on the eponymous manga series by Ginpachi, which launched in 2017. Futabasha is the publisher; the manga is being serialized in Monthly Action under the Action Comics label. The individual chapters have been collected into 11 tankōbon volumes as of September 2022.
