Let’s take a look at the October 5 and 6 anime line-up!

The October 5 anime line-up

The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is set to premiere on October 5. Nexus is producing the series. The OP theme song is “HIGHEST” by OxT (the ED theme song hasn’t been revealed).

This is another title based on a light novels series. The Eminence in Shadow light novels are written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by ouzai.

The title is a dark fantasy isekai and follows a boy who dies only to wake up in a strange world where he is able to pursue his dream of shadow manipulation.

Futoku no Guild (Immoral Guild) is the first ecchi title announced for the Fall 2022 anime season. Produced by TNK, the series follows Kikuru Madan, a monster hunter with an identity crisis. He is the guild’s best monster hunter but is completely inexperienced in dating, which frustrates him to no end. Just when Kikuru is beginning to question his life choices, he gets a job offer — to tutor martial artist Hitamu Kyan, who is all but talented.

The OP theme song is “Never the Fever!!” by Sayaka Sasaki, while the ED theme song is “Sugar Sugar Spice” by Minami Kuribayashi.

The October 6 anime line-up

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 (Mob Psycho 100 III) is the highlight of October 6, 2022. Produced by BONES, the TV anime will be simulcast on Crunchyroll (both subbed and dubbed versions will be made available) in over 200 countries worldwide.

The anime is based on the eponymous manga series by ONE. Crunchyroll premiered the first two episodes during Crunchyroll Expo 2022.

Do It Yourself!!, an original Japanese TV anime will also debut on October 6. The series is produced by StudioPine Jam; IMAGO and Avex Pictures are credited for their original work.

The first episode premiered on August 6, 2022, at Crunchyroll Expo 2022.

The OP theme song is “Dokidoki Idea wo Yoroshiku!” (“Exciting ideas, people please!”) by the six main cast members (Konomi Inagaki, Ayane Sakura, Azumi Waki, Karin Takahashi, and Nichika Ōmori).

Do It Yourself!! follows six high school girls who become friends while working on various projects in the DIY club.

Bibliophile Princess (Mushikaburi-hime) is another exciting title that will debut on October 6. Studio Madhouse is directing the anime series, which is based on the eponymous light novels written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina.

Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 will feature a returning main cast and is being handled by the same staff as Season 1: Flagship Line is producing the series, while Yumeta Company x Graphinica are in charge of animation.

Muv-Luv Alternative Season 1 premiered during the Fall 2021 anime season and ran from October 7 to December 23, 2021.

The Muv-Luv Alternative TV anime is based on the eponymous romance visual novel, which is just an installment of a far more prolific series.

The Muv-Luv games follow Takeru Shirogane (the playable character of the series), who wakes up one day to find a woman sleeping in his bed. The lady — coincidentally, an heiress of a powerful family — is named Meiya Mitsurugi and is dead set on marrying him.

So far, so good! The Fall 2022 anime season looks more promising than its immediate predecessors, so stay tuned for further announcements!
