Do you need to watch or read Mobile Suit Gundam to understand the film?
Despite it existing in the original Mobile Suit Gundam universe, having a basic understanding of the universe will suffice. Namely, two or more forces, usually Earth vs. The Colonies, and their battles using giant robot suits and other vehicles.
Some entries deal more with the pilots doing everyday things, while others take a pure, stay in the cockpit, and maybe you get some fresh air. There’s even an anime where the Gundams are the size of humans and are alive!
The official synopsis is: “After a covert mission goes awry, Amuro Ray, Gundam Pilot, and his friends are stranded on a remote island.”
The battalion was sent to the Island of No Return to clear out any enemy forces. Only to find a group of children and an enemy mecha attacks, Amuro must find a way to escape the island.
But not before he meets the mysterious Cucuruz Doan!
