AOF2022 at a glance
This is the third Aniplex Online Fest in a row and the biggest one so far.
The first AOF was initiated in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic onset. Having proven to be tremendously successful (more than 800,000 international viewers watched the live stream!), the event was scheduled in 2021 and will commence this year, too.
AOF2021 attracted even more viewers: ca. 850,000 people from all around the globe.
It remains to be seen how many viewers AOF2022 will attract. Since the focus has expanded to include various aspects of the J-pop culture on top of anime and the event is to feature live performances, talk shows, special appearances, in-person events, live drawings sessions, and behind-the-scenes stories from the anime industry, it is only to be expected that it will appeal to a large international audience.
