What do we know about this Dragon Ball figure?

Super Saiyan 2 may not look very different from a regular Super Saiyan, but this figure is a statement in his own right. He stands at 5.7 inches and is made of PVC and ABS.

The pre-order closes on August 30 and ships in September 2022. Goku is $70.00 as a pre-order, but the number of accessories and the Aura back are worth it.

  • main body
  • 4 sets of exchangeable hands
  • 4 faceplates, each with a different expression
  • Angel Halo
  • Aura back

According to the description on Crunchyroll, Goku’s Dogi is torn from his battle with Yakon, which is episode 223 in the original Dragonball Z series and is the 4th episode in the Babidi Saga. This is also when we get a glimpse of Super Saiyan 2 for the first time.

Yakon is also the first being Goku kills in Dragonball Z. King Piccolo was the first person Goku killed in episode 21, The Final Showdown in Dragonball.

Let’s talk about the Aura back

Like the Halo, you don’t need it to make exciting poses, but it’s easily one of the biggest draws to buying this figure. The way the white blends with the spikes and turns yellow at the ends is epic!

You can also remove the blue jolts; the peg holes aren’t very noticeable. Goku’s hair also complements the Aura’s hues, and he doesn’t need a base to stand alone.

Goku has been an icon of anime for years, and this figure proves past versions are still noteworthy. Will we see more Dragonball Z figures? Naturally.

Dragonball Z is a standard that many series are compared to. Especially if a tournament arc is involved, what do you think about this figure? Do you live for exclusives or hunt for your favorite regardless of how you get it?
