The second season of In Another World With My Smartphone anime has been announced to premiere in spring 2023.
In April 2022, it was announced that In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 was in production.
A teaser visual has also been released by the production team along with information on new cast members and staff. The new cast members include:
- Miyu Takagi (Miyu Okamoto in Wake Up, Girls! series) as Lucia Rea Regulus
- Yu Serizawa (Shera L. Greenwood in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord) as Hildegard Minas Lestia
- Miyu Kubota (Karin in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) as Sakura

Cast and staff
The main cast of In Another World With My Smartphone is reprising their roles for the sequel. They include:
- Katsumi Fukuhara as Touya Mochizuki
- Marika Kono as Yumina Urnea Belfast

Yoshiaki Iwasaki (best known for directing Hayate the Combat Butler!!) is directing the anime at Studio J.C.STAFF. The first season was produced way back in 2017 by Studio Production Reed, which changed its name to Ashi Productions in 2019.
Deko Akao is in charge of the series scripts. Chinatsu Kameyama is designing the characters. He is also serving as the Chief Animation Director. Kei Yoshikawa and Kohei Yamada are composing the music.

In Another World With My Smartphone anime, also known as Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni, is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Patora Fuyuhara and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka.
The light novels were first serialized online in 2013 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. It was later acquired by Hobby Japan. J-Novel Club has licensed the series for an English release.
Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace began serializing a manga adaptation by Soto in November 2016. The manga is licensed by Yen Press for English release.
