WATATEN!: An Angel Flew Down to Me: Precious Friends anime movie is set to hit the big screens in Japan on October 14, 2022. A teaser trailer and a key visual for the movie were released with the announcement.
The movie was first announced back in February 2021, and more information was released during AnimeJapan 2022.
The new trailer PV shows the film’s cast in action and also previews its theme song, “Precious Friends”, by the 5-member voice cast unit Wataten ☆ 5. The single will be released on October 12. Here is the trailer PV released by the production team on the KADOKAWA Youtube channel:

The cast of the 2019 TV anime, WATATEN!: An Angel Flew Down to Me, will reprise their roles for the movie, including:
- Reina Ueda, best known for playing Kanao in Kimetsu no Yaiba, as Miyako Hoshino
- Maria Sashide, best known for playing Emma in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, as Hana Shirosaki
- Rika Nagae, best known for playing Olivia in Asobi Asobase, as Hinata Hoshino
- Akari Kito, best known for playing Nezuko in Kimetsu no Yaiba, as Noa Himesaka
- Hitomi Owada, best known for playing Ayano in Hanebado!, as Koyori Tanemura
- Naomi Ohzora, best known for playing Satania in Gabriel DropOut, as Kanon Konomori
- Lynn, best known for playing Sakura in I Want To Eat Your Pancreas, as Koko Matsumoto
The main staff of the 2019 TV anime is also returning for the movie:
Daisuke Hiramaki (Koisuru Asteroid) is directing the movie at Doga Kobo. Yuka Yamada is in charge of the script. Hiromi Nakagawa is designing the characters, with Flying Dog producing the music.

WATATEN!: An Angel Flew Down to Me, also known as Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!, anime is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Nanatsu Mukunoki.
The manga has been published in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine since November 2016. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of June 12, 2022.
The TV anime adaptation of the series premiered in January 2019 and ran for 12 episodes. The show was simulcast by Crunchyroll.
