The Shoot! Goal for the Future release date is confirmed for July 2022. Fans have been waiting for this for almost 30 years!

That’s right, Shoot! Goal for the Future is a sequel to Shoot!, which aired from November 7, 1993, to December 25, 1994. It has 58 episodes, a short anime film, and the manga ended at 33 volumes between 1990-2003.

It’s unclear if you have to watch Shoot! But Shoot! Goal for the Future does have old faces returning to help with the new.

What is Shoot! Goal to the Future about?

Shoot! Goal to the Future follows an older Atsushi Kamiya, former captain of Kagegawa High School, nicknamed The World Fighting General, active in a prestigious Italian team, and is now the coach for Kagegawa High School.

Hideto Tsuji attends Kagegawa High but tries to distance himself from the soccer/football club due to its weakened reputation. But when these two meet, a new legend will begin.

Shoot! Goal to the Future’s official Twitter and website have released a couple of teaser images. And the PV trailer features some of the opening song called Aoreido by Airi Miyakawa.

According to the wiki, the ending song will be Rivals by All at Once. The wiki also gives us some of the voice actors!

What else do we know about Shoot! Goal to the Future?

Noriyuki Nakamura is the director, and Mitsutaka Hirota handles the scripts. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Two video games titled Aoki Densetsu Shoot! were made for the Super Famicom and Game Boy. The Super Famicom version was released on December 16, 1994, while the Game Boy version came out on April 7, 1995.
