Fans have wondered if a Four Knights of the Apocalypse anime — the sequel to Nakaba Suzuki’s Seven Deadly Sins — was in the works. And now, due to leaked screenshots from an upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump, it looks like the dream has possibly come to life!

It’s important to note, however, that while the evidence appears compelling, no official source has made an announcement as of yet. Could fans be getting duped by a rumor? It’s possible until we know for certain. It would be a masterful ruse given the attention to detail that went into creating a compelling cover page and cast interview.

The leaked pages are credited to Twitter user @pepitochiken who, as of writing, has their account set to private. This isn’t the first time leaked pages have hinted at future anime productions and manga arcs. But it hasn’t been the first time a leak has proven false either.

Who will the Four Knights of the Apocalypse anime voice cast be?

Assuming the leaked interview is accurate (which has NOT been confirmed by any official outlet), at least three members of the voice cast have been confirmed.

Yuuki Kaji will return as Meliodas who will return as father of one of the series’ four knights. The final chapters of Seven Deadly Sins ended with the introduction of Tristan, the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth. Yuuki Kaji is also the Japanese voice actor for Attack On Titan’s Eren Yeager and My Hero Academia’s Shouto Todoroki.

Reprising her role as Elizabeth will be Sora Amamiya. Also known for roles such as Kill La Kill’s Akame and Rent-a-Girlfriend’s Chizuru, Amamiya may not appear in the Four Knights of the Apocalypse right away (assuming there is one), but there’s a chance she may also voice one of the new characters in the series.

Prince Tristan will once again be voiced by Ayumu Murase who played him in The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh OVA which will release this year on Netflix. Fans will likely recognize Murase as Haikyuu!!’s Hinata and Ousama Ranking’s Kage.

As of now, it’s unknown who will play the leading role of Percival. And given that this is all coming from a leaked source, this information should be treated as speculation.

What is the Four Knights of the Apocalypse plot?

Those wanting to see more of Nakaba Suzuki’s Seven Deadly Sins are in luck! The Four Knights of the Apocalypse — or Mokushiroku no Yonkishi in Japanese — is a continuation of the series following a new protagonist, Percival.

Young Percival grows up in isolation raised by his grandfather (a familiar beginning for Dragon Ball fans) until his sixteenth birthday. He’s initially uninterested in a life of adventure, but after his grandfather, a former knight, tells him of all the fun that’s in store for him, he changes his tune.

A proper send-off isn’t in order, however. Before Percival has a chance to plan his trip, a mysterious knight of Arthur Pendragon sails to the isolated home. Percival greets the man, but after learning that he seeks his grandfather, he begins to get eerily suspicious.

Those suspicions are, of course, correct as the unknown knight strikes his grandfather with the intent to kill. Percival does his best to ward off the attack, but his efforts are futile. His grandfather is fatally wounded, and he’s given a deep wound on his chest that serves as a brand of the horrifying events.

While certainly not the adventure he hopes for, Percival is thrust into the world. His goal is to avenge his grandfather and take down the knight who felled him. But in doing so, Percival becomes what the unknown assailant believed his grandfather might have been — a future member of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
